The Japan Association of Cambodia held a Japanese fireworks display in front of the Royal Palace last night to celebrate the 70th anniversary of relations (1953-2023) between the two countries.

The fireworks display lasts 1 hour and 10 minutes, starting from 7:00 to 8:10.

Former Prime Minister Hun Sen had requested the display earlier this year from Mr. Fumi Akita Kahasi, former Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia, who is currently the President of the Cambodia-Japan Association.

For the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Japan, many big events are planned, including art performances showcasing Japanese culture.
